1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the Lvkart marketplace — the customer app, the seller app, and this website (together, the "Platform"), operated by Lvkart Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata, West Bengal, India.

By creating an account, placing an order, or listing products on the Platform, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app at least 14 days before they take effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.

2. What Lvkart is, and is not

Lvkart is a marketplace. Products listed on the Platform are sold by independent local sellers, not by Lvkart. The contract of sale for any order is between you and the seller.

Lvkart provides the storefront, payment processing, order routing and delivery coordination. We are responsible for those services. Sellers are responsible for the products themselves — their description, quality, pricing, legal compliance, packaging, and any warranty.

3. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• Accounts are verified by an OTP sent to your mobile number. Keep that number secure; activity on your account is treated as yours.
• Give accurate information. Sellers must provide a valid PAN, and a GSTIN where the law requires one.
• We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, is used fraudulently, or is used to list prohibited goods.

4. Orders, pricing and payment

• Prices shown include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise on the product page. Delivery charges are shown before you pay.
• An order is confirmed only when the seller accepts it. If a seller cannot fulfil an order, it is cancelled and any amount paid is refunded in full.
• We support UPI, cards, net banking, wallets, and cash on delivery where the seller offers it.
• Sellers are paid out on the schedule of their plan, net of Lvkart commission and applicable taxes. Payout schedules are published on the Seller Benefits page.
• Listing prices are set by sellers. Lvkart does not set or guarantee any price, and a pricing error is grounds for cancellation.

5. Delivery

Delivery estimates shown at checkout are estimates, based on the seller’s location and the delivery partner’s current load. They are not guarantees.

Someone must be available at the delivery address to receive the order. If a delivery fails twice, the order may be returned to the seller and refunded net of delivery charges.

6. Returns, cancellations and refunds

• You may cancel an order at no charge until the seller marks it as packed.
• Returns are accepted within 7 days of delivery for products that arrive damaged, defective, expired, or materially different from their listing.
• Perishables (fresh produce, dairy, prepared food), personal care items with a broken seal, and made-to-order goods are not returnable except where they arrive damaged or expired.
• Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–7 business days of the return being picked up. Cash-on-delivery refunds are paid to a bank account you nominate.
• Raise a return from the Orders screen in the customer app, or write to support with your order id.

7. Seller obligations

• List only goods you are legally entitled to sell, and never anything on the prohibited list published in the seller app.
• Keep listings accurate: images of the actual product, correct weights, correct MRP, and honest stock levels.
• Honour the price and delivery window shown to the customer at checkout.
• Comply with GST, FSSAI, Legal Metrology and any other law that applies to your trade.
• Repeated cancellations, counterfeit goods, or misleading listings may lead to delisting and withheld payouts for the affected orders.

8. Acceptable use

• Do not scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the Platform or its security.
• Do not post reviews you did not earn, or offer anything of value in exchange for reviews.
• Do not use the Platform to harass anyone — customers, sellers, or delivery partners.

9. Intellectual property

The Lvkart name, logo, and the software behind the Platform belong to Lvkart Technologies Pvt. Ltd. Sellers keep ownership of their own brand assets and product images, and grant Lvkart a licence to display them on the Platform and in marketing for the Platform.

10. Privacy

We collect only what the Platform needs to work: your name, mobile number, email, delivery addresses, order history, and — for sellers — business and tax details.

We share your delivery address and name with the seller and the delivery partner for the order in question, and payment details with our payment processor. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Order and tax records are retained for eight years, as Indian tax law requires. Other personal data is deleted within 90 days of account closure.

You can request a copy of your data, correct it, or ask us to delete your account by writing to support@lvkart.com. We respond within 30 days.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Lvkart’s liability for any claim arising out of an order is limited to the value of that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost business.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for fraud, or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

12. Disputes and governing law

Start with support@lvkart.com — most disputes are resolved there within a few days. Unresolved complaints can be escalated to our Grievance Officer at the same address.

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal have exclusive jurisdiction.
